Problem in the mixer with the individual audio outputs of VST instruments

Hello,

I have installed the latest version (2.2.23.341). The output of the tracks is no longer saved in the mixer.

I noticed this because individual sounds were no longer audible in an older project. While troubleshooting, I discovered that if you set the output to and then back to MAIN, the sound can be heard. Despite saving, the setting is no longer the same after restarting the project - the sound is no longer audible.

In addition, activated individual outputs in the VST instruments (Halion 7 and Kontakt 8) had disappeared from the old project. However , I was able to reactivate them and save them successfully.

Best regards, Michael

It is not quite clear what you mean.

Track outputs cannot be routed to ports, only to Output Channels. From your picture, we cannot see what type the channels with “MAIN” have, probably output channels (at least one is the default Stereo Out Channel, as it has the Main Record button).

Assigning multiple tracks to “Stereo Out” (or default “Song x”, which also goes to Stereo Out) , and Stereo Out to MAIN always works here saving and loading. So maybe you could provide some step-by-step instructions how to reproduce the issue, thanks!

First of all, thank you for the feedback. I’ll try to describe it.

I changed the main output to “Piano”. In addition, I created two outputs “Cajon” and “Pipes” (to incorporate different effects) and set them to MAIN at the top (PIC1). Then I assigned the instruments to the outputs in HALion 7. I saved all of this and was able to use it again the next time I started the program(PIC2).

With the latest version, it no longer works after loading. For example, the “Pipes” come on (you can see the deflection), but you can’t hear anything. Only when I set the MAIN switch (yellow circle) to and then back to MAIN can I hear the “pipes” (PIC3). This setting cannot be saved, after the next start I have to repeat the procedure. This was not the case in an earlier version, LIVE used to remember this.

Best regards, Michael

So, all the outputs are set and saved pointing to “MAIN” output port, but after a reload cycle you need to toggle/toggle-back the output channels to “MAIN” again to get sound out of them, right?

So despite of visually all loks okay at project load, channels needs to be re-assigned to “MAIN” every time when loading your project?

This is exactly how it is with the added outputs - the piano output is the only one that works.

Hello,
The problem has been solved. To assign the individual outputs of the VST instruments in the mixer, I added group outputs as new outputs instead of out outputs and now it also works with saving.
