Do you understand that C10.5 still uses the USB Elicenser?

Yes I know C10.5 still uses the USB Elicenser?
Hi and thanks for your help. I’ve been stuck on this for so long that I don’t know what I am doing anymore. I’m very confused by this.
But I’ve restarted the computer and opened the Activation manager. Then it looks like this.
But if I go via My Steinberg on the web it looks like this
You should follow the instructions in the error message, and contact Steinberg Support directly.
Alternatively, you can try reinstalling the Steinberg Activation Manager
In the future you must include your OS platform and version in you requests for help.
There are several similar questions on the forum about this do a search for “steinberg license Engine is not responding” maybe there is an answer for you, But my advice is to contact support directly.
Hi Marco sent me this, so I’m not getting any help there. So I’m completely lost.
I have to agree with you, we should have communicated from the beginning that we can no longer offer support for 10.5. The question about the Hub problem is unfortunately not easy to answer, but it should not prevent you from using 10.5 because only news is displayed in the Hub.
The Hub problem could be related to the eLicenser Control Center.
In other words, a new installation might help.
What do you think about reinstalling Cubase 10.5 and Groove Agent.
Thanks
The problem is Groove Agent not C10.5…I tried to help by asking questions in your other thread but got no response.
Sorry I haven’t seen.
I’m going to reinstall Cubase 10.5. Do you think that will help everything.
But if you think it’s GA then what should I do.
I’ve found In the plug-in Essential Fusion drums a file number 744 is missing where can I find it.
Thanks for your help I’m completely lost in this mess
No I don’t think that will help anything.
But if you think it’s GA then what should I do.
Depends what the answers to my questions were.
Hi, are these the questions you mean
Since you are using 10.5 which uses elicenses, the errors are probably generated by Groove Agent 5.
Are you running the latest version GA5?
Yes
But when I start Cubase I get the warning message “cannot find the file Essential fusion drums file 744” that file is missing I have not found it.
Have you run the process to change licensing from licensor to Steinberg license for Groove Agent?
I don’t know what you mean by that question. But I think I have done everything when I changed to Steinberg licensing
Upload the screenshot showing active licenses . Thanks Cay
OK…so you do have active GA5 in Steinberg licensing.
Can you confirm if it opens in standalone mode or in another DAW without the licensing errors?
789 / 5 000
Hi, now I will try to explain simply what I did today
The computer where I had problems, there I have Monterey OSX. GA5 does not work with Standalone or DAW.
I have another computer where I have Ventura OSX. So I installed Cubase 10.5 there.
GA5 standalone worked.
I uploaded a Cubase project that I knew worked, it worked GA worked well! in DAW also well!. But it sounded badly distorted.
So what now?
I check my Project preferences Sample Rate was 48 and GA Sample Rate was 48 in and 44 out. I change everything to 48
I restart the computer, and now Cubase does not work, the warning says it is not activated.
I am so tired of this, I do not get angry anymore. I press some buttons and smile like I am crazy.
Sending some pictures
Thanks

So this means the issue is definitely with GA5 and not with Cubase and GA5 is supported on Monterey so you should go back to Steinberg and ask they support their product.
Sending some pictures
No pictures so no idea what activation the warning is telling you about.
Okay thank you very much, I will contact them and see what happens
Thanks Cay
