Hi everybody.
My setup is: Packard Bell laptop, Intel Pentium 2.2 GHz, 4 GB ram, 500 GB HD, Win7. As audio interface I use a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB.
I would keep to use the old version of Cubase LE that I have since 2006, because version 4 hasn’t the virtual instrument rack, that is indispensable to me to work with samplers like Indenpendence Free, that are multi-timbrical.
So, I installed both versions (LE 1 and LE 4) but LE1 has a problem with the buffersize of Saffire. If the latency is set to 9-10 ms, the audio from Cubase is distorted, full of crackles. To not have this problem I have to set latency to 25 ms!! It’s hard to work with that latency!
How can I resolve this problem? I know that Cubase LE is a little bit old and probably isn’t fully compatible with Windows 7, but I would keep to use it, because it does all that I need. Thanks!!
