Problem with handles when using comping tool...

Whenever I’m using the comping tool and try moving the handles there’s just blank space left on all the tracks, no waveforms/audio. This screenshot shows what I’m talking about (please click to enlarge)…

Any help with resolving this would be much appreciated, as I can’t edit in the meantime.

Maybe you could describe what you are doing and trying to achieve?

I’m just trying to use the comp tool as I normally would - but when I make my selections and then adjust the handles all I can see is blank space instead of the waveforms - as you can see in that screenshot.
