I’ve never had this problem before, but suddenly I can’t do any automation on parameters in Kontakt 5. Whether with a CC assignment or just activating the write button, when I ride a filter or resonance in an app in Kontakt, afterwards Cubase doesn’t playback properly…it either just stops advancing the cursor or jumps weirdly forward. It happens in Epica and Novachord. Am I alone in having this problem? I just updated both Cubase to 9.5.50 and Kontakt to 5.8.1 (R43).
Hey, I know this topic is old but I just came accross this issue and could not find a proper response online.
Here’s how to enable automations on Kontakt5 (and propbably later) on parameters such as ADSR.
In Kontakt, in the “Browse” panel, displayed on the left side if activated (if not, clic the “Browse” button), select the “auto” or “automation” tab.
There will be a list of unassigned “host parameters”.
These are the same controls that you could find from cubase automation track menu.
Drag and drop a “host parameter” to the desired control in your Kontak instrument.
That’s it, this control is now available for automation in Cubase.
Then select the WRITE option on your track to enable live automation writing (don’t forget to unclic it after automation is written and done).
