Problem with Macro

A very simple Macro that doesn’t work properly. Help please. :blush:

I want to split at cursor whilst in playback and delete the selected bit of audio. When doing it manually I select the audio file, hit Alt-X which splits the file and leaves the second portion selected and then hit delete. Works every time. However, when I set up a Macro:

Alt-X
Del

Not only does it delete the selected piece of audio, but also some other unselected piece later in the project as well. How can this be correct?

Thanks for any insight.

Edit: Hmmmm. It sometimes works. Maybe the playback line isn’t accurate enough?

I’ve now added a Select none command to the end and this seems to have solved it.
