Problem with Program Change

Hello
I have tracks with program change to control guitar effect - just changing paths A, B, C. Each song has different midi tracks.
Tracks are created in Cubase 14. All was checked and works well in C14.
After importing to VL2, some tracks don`t work in some songs.

Darkglass Control NoPasaran160a.mid (114 Bytes)

Hi! try to find some pattern that developers can try (receipe: doing this and that, but happens this and that). Is is only when all happening in the same time, or just on specific MIDI channels , etc)

Hi, automation definitely doesn’t export from Cubase, and I think the MIDI track with program changes doesn’t either (I haven’t tested it myself). The instrumental track does export.
I’d recommend trying dragging (not exporting) this MIDI control directly from an open Cubase into VST Live 2.

And so your file is empty Darkglass Control NoPasaran160a there is no control there

Output is set to CH10 in each track.
What is weird - midi track is not working on specific song, but when I move transport bar by clicking on different time, and click on top time bar in project window, values are changing presets. Song is stopped, i just click on time bar - events are working > hit play - not working .

Will try this.
Attached file has just Program Change edited.
Ive imported it, for check, and Program Change is visible.

I was even curious, I don’t know if I exported the project from Cubase and imported it into VST Live 2, but it works

From the file that you edited there is no control in it but not important, I checked everything works

Select the virtual MIDI port on the MIDI track that you will use to control the stack, and everything works fine, and the project is imported correctly from Cubase to VST Live.

Midi output goes to physical device, Darkglass stomp.
Im using midi loop for virtual ports. I dont get it in this case, im too stupid i think

It’s even easier: you have a real port on your physical device, select it, that’s all, but you must have a MIDI interface that is connected and displayed in VST Live.

I will try in next week to fight with this problem and give info.

No problem there. I can easily open the same Guitar Rig or AmpBox Mercurial in standalone mode (essentially your external effects unit) and use Loop MIDI to send controls from VST Live to it.
Loop MIDI can be downloaded here loopMIDI | Tobias Erichsen You might find it useful.
