Problem with Reaktor 6.5 plugin in Cubase 13

Hi, I just upgraded my Windows version of Cubase Elements from 10 to 13 and couldn’t find my Reaktor 6.01 VST2 instrument listed in the VST manager.
After a bit of digging on Google, I found that Steinberg had dropped support for VST2 by version 13.
I then found an update for Reaktor, taking it to 6.5 and providing a VST3 plugin.
I updated that too.
The Cubase VST manager now shows the Reaktor plugin, but it is greyed out and unusable.
Strangely, loading a project saved by Cubase 10 that uses the Reaktor instrument, allows me to edit and play that instrument as it did with CB10 but it doesn’t allow me to add a new instrument track using Reaktor (but I can duplicate the track).
Is there any reason why Reaktor is greyed out? Am I missing something?
I do have a workaround but it’s far from ideal so I’d like to find out what’s going on.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

It did not.

Could you attach a screenshot of it, please?

Hi Martin,

Alright, it’s a grey area for me but that’s the impression I got. However, that’s not the issue I’m trying to address here.

Sure.

Cheers.

It is greyed out because you have “Hide” checked. Uncheck that, and you should be good to go.

Hi,

When a plug-in is hidden, you can see it in the existing projects. But it’s not in the list, so you cannot add it.

Hmm, I’m sure I [un]checked that setting. It must have been hidden by Cubase as I didn’t touch that.

OK, next question - how do I uncheck the ‘hide’ setting - it won’t budge. The only thing I can change there is the ASIO-Guard setting. Something must be blocking the plugin from being used.

Thanks

Ah, I got it fixed. What I had to do was open the VST manager without a project and the check-box became modifyable.

Thanks for your help guys.
