Problem with UR22C audio interface and Cubase

I purchased a while ago Steinberg UR22C audio interface. There seems to be some kind of problem with it and Cubase 12. When I’m starting Cubase, it often crashes immediately after the startup.

If I choose to disable program preferences or unplug the audio interface, Cubase starts as expected. But after plugging in the interface again, and selecting it from the setup, Cubase crashes again.

It doesn’t do this all the time, but very often. Has anyone else had the same issues, and what did you do to get rid of the problem?

Two possible suggestions:

  1. Deactivate the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth from the MIDI Port Setup
    llist

  2. Make sure you are updated to the latest version Tools for UR-C
    UR-C Updates and Downloads | Steinberg

I deactivated the GS Wavetable Synth and it seems it helped, since I’ve tried to start Cubase for couple of times, and there haven’t been carshes anymore.
