Problem with Video Import and Crashing

Even though CB 5.5.2 (build 637) is relatively old this is the first time I am using the new video engine. I am having nothing but problems.

  1. A quicktime file that plays fine in QT will not import into the pool. Even avi files that imported into the older version will import.
  2. Ever since using this version of Cubase (previously V5.1) it crashes constantly.

Reboot and video imports until the next crash.

The only thing that has changed since 5.1 is the upgrade to 5.5.2
Is this a known issue or do I have to go back to the older version?

Could JBridge be related to this?

Video on seperate drive
Nothing else loaded in Cubase

My videos are already H264.
Am I the only one here with video issues?

Nope, in fact I posted a thread that’s still on this page.

As it turns out video is not the problem, it’s deleting files from disc that crashes my system.
If I go into the pool and delete any file and erase from disk, it crashes the system.
Anyone ever experience this?
