Problems with Download Assistant on MacBook Pro M1 Pro

So I’m in a bit of ‘software hell’ at the moment…I won’t bore you with all the details but I do have a specific question regarding the Steinberg Download Assistant on my MacBook Pro M1 Pro. I was receiving the ‘A connection to the download server could not be established. Check your internet connection and try again’ message. Which I know from my research means that I need to upgrade to the latest version of the Download Assistant for compatibility purposes. However, when I download the latest version (1.35.0) and try to install it, I get the exact same message. This, of course, makes installing updates and my newly purchased SpectraLayer 10 Pro software…problematic…

I also received the same message on my PC (which is in my studio) and the latest version corrected the issue straightaway.

I’m running Sonoma 14.2.1 as my OS.

Has anyone encountered this issue and found a satisfactory solution? Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide.
