Program shutdown

Im using cubase 14 pro (14.0.20)
I have a mastering project open with one audio file and Ozone 11 advanced. If I leave the computer unattended for a while (an hour or so) When I come back to the computer, cubase has shut down. When I subsequently reopen it, I get the usual “its crashed” screen, send files to cubase, disable all third party plugins, etc, etc. Sometimes it has to load from a backup, sometimes not. I then shut cubase down and reopen to get all my plugins back. This is happening regularly, today so far about twice. WTF ! has anyone else experienced anything like this ?

Nope.
Can you upload the latest crashfiles, please?

Cubase 14.0.20 64bit2025.4.18 13.27.56.459.dmp (1.4 MB)
here you go mate, it just happened again

Hi,
the crash happens in Cubase but it is difficult to say what exactly happened to cause this:

SOFTWARE_NX_FAULT_INVALID_POINTER_EXECUTE_c0000005_Cubase14.exe

In the past, this failure message occured for all sorts of reasons (not only Cubase 14). However, that exceeds my knowledge. So, here’s the analysis for people who are more knowledgeable in this area:

Have you downloaded the latest Izotope 11 version? This is a number 1 culprit.
Sorry, that I couldn’t be of more help!

Good luck!

Are you sure you checked the correct dump file? Because I just downloaded it and I have a different result in windbg, an error in ntdll.dll:

Which I have recently seen in another thread, but tbh I have no idea what it means, an internet search doesn’t bring any good result.
It would be a good idea to update every software involved, also the audio interface driver.

what are your power settings? has your computer gone to standby?

power settings are high performance, all settings have been optimised for cubase. The dump file is the correct one
