I just purchased WaveLabs Element 8 from the Steinberg store. I downloaded, installed and activated the program. It will not start/open. When I click the icon on the desktop or in the programs folder the wheel (used to be an hourglass, don’t know what it is called now) spins for about a second then disappears. This is a Windows 10 OS with Cubase 8.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you try both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions?

I installed the 32 bit version and the program will load and open.
So now I am puzzled why it won’t load and open in the 64 bit version. This is a 64 bit computer meaning everything else is 64 bit, Windows 10, Cubase 8.5, etc.

There must be a conflict with some other installed software. Now, I can’t guess which one.
The 64 bit version was killed on demand in Windows 10 with that moronic One Drive Update from a few weeks back. For some folks - the app crashed. For others - the app would not open at all.
You may want to research the threads here searching on “Windows 10” and “crash”
And also note the Hotfix update for Wavelab 64 at the top of this board (V8.5.0.31)

Windows 8 element is not concerned with the Windows 10 problem.

Mind you there has been a ton of other updates to Windows 10 latety - could be another conflict of some sort…
