Project crashing/maxed out performance - User select which plugins Cubase Pro 11 loads (checkbox ?)

Windows 10
Intel i7-10750 cpu @2.6 GHz
Onboard intel graphics (no 3d etc)
32 Gig Ram
Cubase Pro 11 V11.0.41
UR22C

All of a sudden I have a large project that when opened Max’s out Audio Performance and although the project cursor moves as if playing, there is no sound but it was not doing it when I saved the project last night.

I tried the usual, increasing the UR22C buffer 2048 samples but makes no difference.

If I safe start Cubase and select do NOT use 3rd party Plugins the project opens fine with zero Average or Maximun Audio Performance and rendered audio tracks play fine so I am thinking its a plugin issue. I have not installed anything new on my machine except the latest Cubase update and the yamaha driver update for my UR22C.

As I have a fair number of plugins and VSTi’s installed disabling them one by one by renaming the DLL or VST3 file is going to take hours.

I have tried manually with some plugs like Roland VS cloud synths but that just freezes the project upon opening it which is bizzare.

Also, proir to this current issue for around the last week, if I saved this project ready to close Cubase, the project saves but Cubase locks up and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete to close Cubase.

Something is not right here and I do not know what it is.

I used to use Cubase 5 years ago and I seem to remember that there was a way within cubase to tell it to load or not to load a plugin using a check box but after much searching I can not find a way to do it in Pro 11.

Does anyone know how this is done?
