Project Logical Editor - Help. Any PLE aficionados out there?

Hey PLE power users (or novices like myself)
! I’m trying to set up a preset that will render the selecte part(or parts) of an instrument track to audio, then disable the source track and hide it afterwards.
I’ve used
Event target filters
Container type : part
Property is set: selected

Post process command : render in place (current settings)
Post process : Audio - Disable/enable track (There doesnt seem to be a command to disable an instumet track in any other menu (only under ‘Audio’)
Post process : Channel and track visibility - Hide selected

Sorry if this is obviously going to be the result - but this renders the selected parts but disables/hides the resulting audio track instead of the parent source (though this and the selected parts remain selected )

It doesnt seem to matter if the commands are pre or post process

What am I doing wrong?
Do I need to reselect the source track somehow within the process?

thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction its driving me nuts!

Hi,

If you Rendeer in Place, the newly created Audio track becoms selected after. So the Disable Track and Hide Selected is applied to the newly selected track.

After the Render in Place, add one more command: Navigate >Up.

Cool! will try that.
Thanks for chiming in so quickly Martin!

Hi Martin
Sooo,
I tried that fully expecting it to work as it makes perfect sense.
However the process resulted in the selected track parts being rendered correctly , and then the previous track (above the source track) being disabled and hidden.
If I navigate down first and then up the process behaves as I want it to.
In the screenshots I’ve disabled the hide part.

First 2 shots project page pre and post render using navigate up only - showig the guitalele track disabled after render
Second 2 shots using navigate up and down and producing the desired result.

Clearly the two lines cancel out and shouldnt produce the desired result, if they were to then my original script should also have worked which it didnt.

Its a perfectly working solution anyway, albeit I don’t undertand how!
