Project Templates not loading in. Startup Screen after 14.20 update

Hello,

I have updated to 14.020 and all my project templates have disappeared. I can find them in the “preferences” folder, but they are not populating the “New Project” dialog box.

Is there a trick to getting them back? I am on a Mac.

Thanks for the help.

Hi kurtgtr

I would like to understand what exactly has changed and what has worked before, so I have some questions:

  • from which Cubase version did you update to 14.0.20?
  • how did you perform the update, via the SDA (Steinberg Download Assistant)?

Can you see the Project Templates in the MediaBay? (I am showing my test environment here, the results will be different on your side)

Factory:

User Templates:

If you do not see them, try re-scan disk:

yep, I have the same issue.
as a WO you may open Mediabay-User content-Project templates and set the folder for the template to be able to create a new project.

Did you update via SDA? I am asking because the SDA will install the latest MediaBay update when it’s opened.

From which Cubase version did you update?

I downloaded from Download assistant, and updated from previous update, think it was 14.0.10

Hey there,

I updated from 14.010, using the Steinberg Downlad Assistant.

In the Mediabay, I can see thesame templates that you have on your screengrab, but not the ones that I have created.

And if I create a project and save as template, that project template does not populate in the hub.

Does that help at all?

Thanks.

Kurt
