"project will use multiple flows" box in Steinberg hub

Is there any way to get around the “project will use multiple flows” box in the Steinberg hub?

I’ve been trying to create myself some project templates, and in my template I use flow title in my first page template as opposed to a project title. In my Layout Settings > Page Setup > Flows, I select “Not for first flow” under Show Flow Headings.

Whenever I open a new project with my template, you have to obviously check this box or keep it unchecked. With the box checked, it adds a flow header to my first page, and removes the flow title from my first page template. With the box unchecked, it changes my first page template from having a flow title to a project title.

It seems like the checkbox in the Steinberg Hub always overrides this. Incredibly frustrating.

Any solution to this/is this being addressed for future updates?

I’m a smidge unsure of what you mean. Can you attach a project with your situation?

Here’s the project that has my template settings. Save it as a template and then try opening it with “project will use multiple flows” checked and unchecked. You’ll see that it doesn’t open identical to what the project is saved as.

My theory is that the “project will use multiple flows” checkbox overrides my flow settings, but curious to know if I’m missing something as well.

Thanks

This is from the manual:

Project will use multiple flows:
When activated, flow headings are shown in all layouts, and flow titles are shown in running headers in score layouts. When deactivated, flow headings are hidden in all layouts, and the project title is shown in running headers in score layouts.

I would just be opening my template from File > New From Project Template > [Template].

Ah great workaround, didn’t think about that. Seems weird that it wouldn’t be an option in the main hub options though.

Appreciate it!
