Project Window Color Menu Not Working

After working on a project for a short time, the Project window Color Palette stops working. When I select tracks, open the color menu and click on a color, nothing happens. I can still change the color for single tracks in the Mixer window, but I cant color Folders this way, of course.
When I close and restart CB, everything is fine again, for a short while, and then it starts again. It’s the exact same problem as in CB13.
I assumed this would be fixed in a new version, but apparently this was overlooked.
Anyone who knows a solution for this?

Are you sure when you do this that you don’t have any Parts or Events selected in the Project Window (even off-screen). Because if you do, those and not the selected Track(s) will be colored. I always click on an empty space to deselect everything before changing a Track’s Color.

There are no Parts or Events in the project yet, I’m building a template, so there’s nothing more than just tracks/channels.
