Hi folks, just another proofreading quirk:
Proofreading is telling me that the end of the cuivré isn’t indicated, while the next entrance is clearly marked “ord.”, which cancels the cuivré.
Proofreading needs to know that “nat.” is not universal or necessary.
Most likely the cuivré marking has an explicit duration, so it actually finishes before the ord - that’s what the “… not explicitly marked” warning is telling you. If you could attach a project that demonstrates the problem then we can take a look to confirm.
It looks like you’re correct. I used the stock marking instead of creating my own, and it looks like that one has a duration.
It won’t be to do with whether it’s built-in or custom - if you have multiple adjacent notes selected when you create a playing technique then it will be created with a fixed duration. You can change the duration (or remove it altogether) with the alt-shift-left/right commands.
