Proofreading - ignoring on iPad?

Hello, on my iPad I have the most recent version 6.0.20.6035.
I am experimenting with the Proofreading functions. Somehow I can make that little eye icon visible (by holding a finger down on that edge of the message), but I haven’t found a way to actually “ignore” a message, neither with the finger nor with the pencil. Does the iPad version have this functionality?

No, because the ignore button only appears when you hover, it’s not possible to do on iPad at the moment unless you have a hardware keyboard connected and you assign a shortcut.

Thank you Daniel, that makes sense.
However, once I have assigned a shortcut, is it possible to call it via the Jump Bar?
I experimented and tried with another shortkey/Key Command “Close Project” - and it worked

My second question would be: how is the command for “Ignore proofreading result” called? I can’t seem to find it - at least on the iPad.

You can actually do it if you “multitouch”, that is, place a finger on the issue, and the icon will appear. Then, tap the icon.

Thanks Lucas, it does work.

  1. I place one finger onto the proofreading message - until the little eye icon becomes visible.
  2. I use another finger, preferably from the other hand, to tap the icon - and the icon will become crossed through.
