Proper way of importing musicxml files and adding VST Instruments

Hi,

I was wondering what is the proper way of converting .xml file to .dorico with instruments added to it.

I did the following but I ran into several issues ( had to fix VST in several places, etc.)

  1. Exported from the source ( cubase, finale, …) to xml ( type 0 midi selected in Cubase).
  2. In setup, mode rename and add Instrument as needed.

But then I realized when I playback I don’t hear anything.

I will be importing many .xml files and I do appreciate it if someone teaches me how to do this efficiently!

Go to Play mode and select a Play > Playback Template.
