proper way to write a "4" Tuplet (quartolet, n-olet)

Hi,

I’m trying to write a quartolet (I don’t realy know the name in english. Please tell me if you know)

Cubase give me this :
Capture d’écran 2020-06-06 à 03.09.14.png
And I want this (I prefer):
01 - 4 croches pointées.jpg
Or (possibly) this :
02 - Quartolet.jpg

Do you see the pictures ? In my computer I read “Not downloaded yet” I don’t understand why my picture are not visible.

I suppose your time signature is 3/4.

Some suggestions…

For your option 1 (your preferred one) do as follows:
Select the Cut Notes tool and click at the beginning of the bar.

For the second option use the Tuplets tool (Score>Build N-Tuplets):
Select your four notes
Set the settings in the Tuplets tool as follows: Type = 4, Over = 3/4
Hit Quantize or Build

Correct the spacings manually if needed.

(There are other possibilities… such as playing with the time signature etc.)

For option 1. I use Key editor, set the quantize preset to 1/8 dotted, and then use repeated split. I tried using the cut notes tool. Didn’t work. What am I doing wrong, please?
