Hello Steinberg Developer Team,
My name is Willy Alvarado, and I am the developer of ODÉMI DAW, an independent digital audio workstation for Windows.
On September 9, 2026, I submitted the signed Proprietary ASIO SDK License Agreement and supporting documentation by email to reception@steinberg.de, with info@steinberg.de copied.
I subsequently sent a follow-up requesting confirmation of receipt and asking whether any additional steps were required.
As of October 14, I have not received an acknowledgment, confirmation, or instructions on how to proceed.
I understand that licensing requests may take time to process. However, more than five weeks without even a confirmation of receipt makes it difficult for independent developers to plan a compliant software release.
I also noticed that other developers have reported similar difficulties in this forum:
-
“No response to Proprietary ASIO SDK License Agreement submission” — August 13, 2026.
-
“Signed ASIO SDK Licensing Agreement - no reply from reception@steinberg.de” — September 5, 2026.
This suggests there may be a broader communication issue with the current submission process.
Could someone from Steinberg please clarify:
-
Is reception@steinberg.de still the correct contact for submitting proprietary ASIO SDK license agreements?
-
Is there a way to confirm that our signed documentation was received?
-
What is the current process for obtaining a countersigned agreement from Steinberg?
-
Is there a dedicated licensing contact who can assist independent developers?
I am not requesting preferential treatment or expedited approval. I simply want to follow Steinberg’s licensing requirements correctly and receive clear guidance on how to proceed.
ODÉMI is an active software development project, and resolving this licensing matter is important for its planned distribution.
I would greatly appreciate a response from an official Steinberg representative.
Thank you.
Willy Alvarado
