Punch In Punch Out Issue

Greetings,

Punching in manually works fine but when I punch out using the same key command the audio I just recorded goes away and goes back to the original punch in point and starts record again. If I stop by using the space bar the new audio remaines but of course stops playback abruptly. Anyone having this issue? I was thinking it might be a key command issue but tried different custom key commands but same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dennis

Check on the punch in type, if you expand the transport panel you’ll probably find its set to “re-record”

Thanks Dave! That was it! I’ve used Cubase for 20 years and have never ever seen this. This is a new install and not sure why this would have been engaged. Thanks for teaching an old dog a new trick!!!
