I am using Cubase Pro 8.5 but I am far from being an expert. I often record in this mode to fix errors in my recordings. I set up the cursors, I record, but I keep forgetting to turn off the Punch in/out icons on the transport panel. As a result, I keep erasing what I just recorded. I can undo this of course but I just keep making the same mistake!
I thought: if the punch in/out icons were disabled automatically when the recording ends or when I press stop (I sometimes use only the punch in), I would stop erasing what I just recorded. It is easy enough to turn the icons back on.
There must be others who have the same frustration.
