Question About Auto-Trimming In SpectralLayers Before Purchasing

Zeroing in to purchase SpectralLayers vs another competing product, but I have some questions before purchasing. Does SpectralLayers allow audio files to be auto-trimmed to the end of the last spectral data the same way you can trim a file to the exact last point of the waveform? In other audio editors, a lot of the times when you auto trim to the end of a waveform, there is a lot more audio in the form of reverb that don’t display in a waveform because the peaks are pretty low. This is highlighted in spectral view, making it a superior display format for trimming audio files such as instrument samples. If one were to load let’s use a drum hit for example, and you select it to auto-trim from the beginning of the sample to the end, does SpectralLayers trim to the last tiny peak of spectral data or does it trim to the last peak of the waveform, cutting off possible reverb audio that we might not be able to see with our eyes in a waveform.

And my second question, could I automate this auto trimming to the last spectral data with batch processing?

My problem is that my previous audio editor trims until the last visible peak of the waveform, which cuts out very quiet reverb and ambiance which can still be seen in spectral view, rendering auto-trimming to delete crucial audio that makes part of the audio sample. Can SpectralLayers do this, and can this process be automated with peace of mind with batch processing?

As far as I’m aware there currently is no auto-trim function in SpectraLayers.

I googled and YT searched auto-trim audio and got all kinds of syntax returns and don’t really know what it means.

As @Laturec says, there is no specific “auto-trim” functionality in SL11 that I can find…no module or menu item for that specific syntax

A user “could” create their own custom module(s) to carry out a great number of tasks. And then batch them. Whether that works for @MaruchanSoup OP, IDK…seems a trial would be in order

Damn, so there is no way to load up an audio file, and then right click or hit a button and have it trim/delete trailing silence after the last audible portion of audio? Instead of having to manually select the point where you want to split/trim/separate/delete audio to the right of the marker?

You mean like detect silence function?
