Sometimes, for certain reasons, we want to go back to a previous version of the software we are using.
Some softwares offers this possibility (Adobe Lightroom, etc.).
As Dorico is now installed via ADM, I didn’t see this option. Does it exist?
For example (fictitious), if one day Dorico 7 doesn’t work properly on my computer and I wish to go back to Dorico 6.5.24, will that be possible? And if so, where can I find the download for this previous version ?
For a more up-to-date example, where could I download Dorico 5.1.51 instead of Dorico 5.1.60?
Just curious.
I don’t know where to get older versions of the free intermediate updates.
The latest releases of the major versions can be downloaded from the sections Downloads Software and Unsupported Products > Software of this page:
Thank you very much for your reply.
But this page only allows you to re-download very old versions (in this case Dorico 3.5).
It would be good to know where to get the intermediate versions, indeed.
The short answer is that we don’t provide links to all minor versions of our applications, but of course in extremis we can provide you with an older version upon request.
At least ‘big’ (whole number) upgrades don’t uninstall or overwrite previous versions, so you could leave them on your computer for a while. Just take care not to use them at the same time.
TBH, such problems that there have been in minor point updates have generally been fixed by a .11 (or .21, .31, 41, etc) update that replaces it, within days.
You can of course always get into the habit of saving the installer of the current version on an external disk.
Not necessarily Obiwan. You can download it instead of install. In the past I refused the install, but this was valid in Windows only, I think. In any case the installer remains stored in your disk.
