Hi, so I’m attempting to extend a slur in my viola part, but a slur that happens to line up with it in the piano part moves too? Like they’re linked? Why? How? If I select one, the other turns blue. I just want to extend the slur in the viola one beat to incorporate the held note, but Dorico thinks I want these slurs in both parts to be the same length.
By default, when you copy/paste a dynamic or a slur, the pasted one is getting linked to the first one (which is sometimes very convenient!)
You can unlink a slur by selecting it, right-clicking > Slurs > Unlink. Or Jumpbar > Unlink Element
Or you can also disable this feature in Preferences > Note input and Editing

Yes, probably linked. What happens if you delete both and create them one at a time rather than at the same time?
