I am afraid the button you loved is no longer there …

Cheers!

okay..
lol, we waited for this button for years ,we got it for one year.. boom gone
:see_no_evil_monkey:

I think this button

grafik

does the same thing, which is why the other one was probably eliminated.

The problem is, if you have other non-project windows open, eg, Audio Connections, Cubase doesn’t quit.

My workaround is to assign a keystroke to Quit and use the keyboard.

That’s not a problem, that’s a bug err… feature. That’s why I also use a shortcut.

I support bringing this useful button back.

If they do bring the button back, it should be called Exit Cubase or Close Cubase not Quit. I have no intention on quitting Cubase, but I will exit or close it and come back to it.

And I was wondering why Cubase doesn’t exit when hitting the X button, sometimes just a lonely Audio Performance windows is left open which I have to close separately…

Good old ALT+F4 still works on Windows, though, it is just a bit harder to reach than a custom “CTRL-Q”…

I support bringing this useful button back as well

If I recall correctly the old Quit button worked the same way. You had to close any extraneous windows before it would shut down.

Edit: Actually I just tried it on Nuendo 14 and all windows disappeared when I hit the Quit button so I take it back!

it will probably come back , we had problems in the past closing cubase then in v.14 the magic button came out… maybe they forgot it
lets wait till further updates , if not then we could start a feature request ticket maybe
Have a great day guys

It was good for waiting for plugins to close before you turned Cubase off. I some time get the crashed page on startup again.

It’ because I’ve closed Cubase before the plugin had time to close down.

hi
not certain i follow you ?
why would i close a plugin b4 i close cubase ??
lets say i finish work for the day and close the session and even boot down my DAW.. the next day i want to be in the same place as i left it
this is what cubase does very well.
maybe when you get time you could explain what you meant so i can understand a little better
Have a great day and thank you so much for your input.
cheers

Sorry. I mean when I close a project some plugins take time to close (finish their procedure)

So if you close Cubase to early, Cubase may think you’ve crashed the system.

So I close the project and then wait a few seconds before I close Cubase DAW.

ah i see.
sounds possible , thanks for sharing
cheers.
