Quitting Cubase doesn't let me choose "Don't save" with the keyboard

When quitting Cubase on Windows with CTRL+Q, I get this popup:

The arrow keys don’t allow me to move to the “Don’t save” option. When hitting TAB, the dotted rectangle jumps to the desired option but the blue rectangle stays on “Save”.

When hitting enter, the Save As dialog appears.

I did notice that other popups in Cubase don’t let you hit another option by keyboard as well. There is not even a dotted rectangle when tabbing. Is that by design? I’d expect regular Windows behavior for these kinds of popups: using TAB to switch to other options.

Yes, confirmed in Cubase 14. I get identical behaviour in Nuendo 13 as well, so it’s not new.

I can also confirm this issue in my Cubase 14 and Windows 10 environment.

These issues, or similar, have been around since C13.
And even C12 doesn’t behave as it should - pressing SPACE should activate the selected button, not just ENTER, and the TAB key doesn’t work, but at least the ARROWs do…

Yep, you are not the first one to express a dislike for the lacking key support.

In the Save dialog you can press D for “Don’t Save”. The other buttons might work accordingly.

It’s a general and one of the main Cubase weaknesses, workflow related. And it’s not going in the right direction, sadly.

Let’s say it bluntly : the behavior of all dialog windows and boxes in Cubase needs a serious overhaul.

Thanks, pressing D works. A hint for this letter - by underlining the D - would’ve been nice.
