Hi, I have found by searching on here that it is not possible to quantise automation unless you use the logical editor as described here: quantizing automation points - Cubase - Steinberg Forums

Problem is when I do exactly as that guy has in his screenshot it does not work correctly, some points move to the start and others to something like 45 bars later! I wonder if the round by function has had its units changes since those posts?

Its ok I found the solution, you have to change the time base of the track to musical not linear

Exactly! If you want to quantize to time units, you can use Linear. If you want to quantize to bars/beats, etc., you can use Musical.
