They must be aware of both MIDI channel, ramp/automation curve reduction resolution issues as both were reported by @Martin.Jirsak
He even stated that Steinberg is working on solving the resolution issue:
Currently, the only solution is to use step mode exclusively in MIDI CC lanes and to avoid reduction, lines and Bézier curve when working with MIDI CC in automation tracks.
Silence from Steinberg and non-existent support is inexcusable. They should really learn something from their own Dorico team.
My best guess is that they may revamp automation and MIDI CC completely in near future and fixing this specific issue may not make sense if everything is gonna be redesigned anyway. For example, something about “readiness for MIDI 2.0” was advertised in Cubase 13. MIDI 2.0 is certainly related to MIDI resolution and they obviously must adapt ramps and curves to account for significantly larger number of available CC values.
