Maybe I’m doing something wrong here.
Lets say I have an audio clip at measure 1. When I edit it, it gets shifted to a random measure.
Happens all the time, but apparently only to me…
Why is that?
I don’t have that problem at all. Sometimes they get randomly muted, but never moved.
Maybe you could post a video of it happening to get Steinberg’s attention?
And/Or if you have a way to reproduce the problem every time then you can post it here and we’ll test it to see if it happens for us too.

maybe you have snap turned on or you have the track in musical mode and changed the tempo?
looks like snap is the likely problem
alter the snap value
or
disable snap
see if this changes the behavior
