Random velocity fix

Hi,

I’m currently trying to use a marimba, but I have this gnarly problem: It seems like the velocity is random. Even if I set up the velocity for every individual note, it still gets played backed differently sometimes which results in random, sort of “jerky” accents here and there.

Why is it so hard to make the marimba lines nice and smooth? Does anybody have an idea how to fix this?

Thanks!

Not all instruments respond to velocity.
But, give us a clue: Which marimba?

It’s the BBCSO Pro marimba.
And it definitely does respond to velocity. It gets louder if I raise the velocity. However, it doesn’t respond nearly as smooth compared to, say, raising expression/modulation CCs.

Does this library have round robins? Are they turned on. That’s the usual reason for varying volumes. It’s supposed to stop the “machine-gun” effect.
