Range selection and "Edit>Select None" bug

  1. Create an audio track and import an audio file onto it
  2. Using the range selection tool, try to select an EMPTY part of the track
  3. Use the “Edit>Select None” shortcut to deselect what you have just selected.
  4. Everything should work as expected (the selection is correctly deselected).
  5. Now select a range of the track with audio on it and try step 3 again a few times, selecting different ranges of the audio event.
  6. The range isn’t deselected

I can only deselect the range by switching to the object selection tool and back to the range selection tool.

I tried this on my Windows 11 machines with Cubase 14 Pro version 14.0.5.
On CB13, following the same procedure, no errors occur.

Thanks,
a.
