I had previously rated some of my most used Groove Agent SE presets. One day, they were all reset to 3-stars. I re-rated the ones I was using. Now all presets are defaulted to 3 stars again! In the pic, I had to reset the rating again…
Any suggestions to keep these ratings ? Like most issues with Cubase 13, this worked fine in Cubase 12 for over a year and did not ‘reset’.
Perhaps something in the content changed in the middle affecting presets properties or gotten the mediaBay db corrupted and needed to refresh (reset). A content update or a failed scanning, etc.
Anyway,
Under %AppData%\Roaming\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server you’ll find the database named mediabay3.db. You can keep a backup of it for restoring if such issues persist.

FYI, on my Win 10 , the path was %AppData%\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server
This doesn’t look correct to me. Under AppData we should normally see the Local, LocalLow and Roaming dirs only. But note that when you type %AppData% you’re taken to the roaming dir by default.
To clarify, this brought me to the correct location when typed into the file browser.
Wanted to bring me to :
C:/Users/[my username]\Roaming\Roaming\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Serve
And yes, in my AppData, there is Local, LocalLow, and Roaming directories.
Of course it did. It automatically added the Roaming destination in the middle
