Re: built-in playback vs. the competitors

I am an avid Dorico cheerleader and even taught a graduate course centered around it. But I have to say I was pretty blown away by the promise of the new playback feature just introduced in Musescore 4 and was curious if Dorico might have plans to do something similar. Of course, there’s always the 3rd party Note Performer (which I love), but this seems to pave the way for something built-in (and more tightly-integrated), able to do expressive score interpretation on the fly (like NP) and also work with other VSTS. So just curious peoples’ thoughts: How We Made MuseScore 4 - Music App Design is Challenging! - YouTube

There’s already a thread about this:

Heh. Interesting choice of words lol.

The “Avid” part? Freudian slip as a former Sibelius user? :-))
