I started creating a bunch of material in Dorico for guitarists interested in partimento. I then realized I do not know anything about many of Dorico’s features, including the use of frames. For music that I already input, is there a way to grab various measures at a time and give them their own frame?

No: frames are containers for the music data. You can’t “copy and paste” music into a Frame: a frame just represents the music that already exists.
You can Filter the music in a frame, so that it contains only certain flows or players.
Can you explain what you’re trying to achieve, and maybe someone can suggest the best way to go about it.
I seem to recall a video dealing with creating exercises with text that used frames in a way that one could edit how much was seen in a given frame.
My question also pertains to combining several different pieces of music into one file and being able to edit across different permutations of the music. For example, notation pnly, tablature only, notation and tab, Cifra (Not sure cifra is possible).
Hi! What you can actually do is create flows (from existing music, i.e. pasting existing music into a new flow). And you can tell each music frame which flows you want it to display. Be careful, this can quickly become overwhelming… Not sure it’s the best way to achieve what you want to do (of course, pictures would help a lot to understand this thread).
