Re-record mode

so here on teh steinberg site " Cubase: Music Production Software | Steinberg "
cubase elements 8 has a re record button. but my one doesnt. is it just for Mac or for windows aswell?

This is deffinitely not OS related. Did you switch to the Re-record Mode on Transport Panel?
