Reading and writing automation using NI Massive problem

I want to be able to write an automation on Cubase using the Native Instruments Massive dubstep wobble bass technique, and in this video:

It shows that the user writes an automation whilst the track is playing. However, when I try and do this, the read automation light comes on too and it means I can’t write the wobble bass automation with the Massive VST whilst it’s playing. Can anybody show me how I can do it like he can?

That video shows him not enabling Write, just moving controls during playback.

Yea, you forgot to enable the W-button (top-left corner of plugin).
