Reaktor Instruments Lose settings On Re-opening A Project

Hi all,
I’ve been having an issue with the Cubase Pro 14.0.20 update, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar (or if anyone has any ideas / solutions).

If I open a synth in NI Reaktor (eg, Monark, Razor, etc) and tweak the sound to my liking, when I reopen the project all of my settings in the Reaktor synth are lost and it opens on a random factory preset. I haven’t noticed this issue with any other instruments or effects that I use.
I know I could save my tweaks as a preset in whatever Reaktor instrument I’m using, but I often forget when I’m in a creative flow.

I could roll back to the previous version of Cubase (14.0.10), but other than this issue I’m really liking some of the features in the latest update.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Pete

All NI software is up to date

I only have this issue with Reaktor(6) Spark (as far as I know).

I edit a factory preset, save the edited version as a user preset (correctly pathed), and that user preset shows up in the User Preset list in Spark. I then save the Cubase project with my user preset loaded, but when I re-open the same project Reaktor Spark loads the preset that I edited, not my user preset version of it.

Also note that I had this issue when using Cubase Artist 9.5, but now I’ve upgraded to Artist 14.02 and its still present. Therefore, I’m inclined to suspect its a problem with Reaktor or Spark rather than Cubase, but NI will probably blame Steinberg (and v.v.). All thoughts welcome though.
