I have a problem with an album that was sent to me by a friend after he has mixed the stems I sent him. It is an album of mine that I sent to him to be mixed and mastered. He has done a great job on the sound but I’m encountering a problem though, a lot of the time when I play the track (through WMP or VLC etc), the seek bar doesn’t truly represent the length of the track. Sometimes if I click to the end of the track, where it should finish, it is only about 2 minutes into the track but it could say as much as 8 minutes on the seek bar and it just carries on playing the track even though the seek bar is right at the end. Is this something that has happened in the mixing down phase?
I guess it’s about the Cubase Encoding …
Try converting to another format …
WAV to MP3 or something!
just let it pass with any audio converter …
