Reason 5 rewire into Cubase 5 (windows 7 64-bit)

Can this work, and if so, how?

I’ve just upgraded from Windows XP (never had any problems) to Windows 7 (64-bit) - (took me a while to find suitable drivers for my soundcard).

I’ve yet to try the 32-bit version of Cubase, but Cubase has no rewire options in the device menu, and Reason never starts in rewire mode for either Cubase to see directly, or the RewireVST if a direct link is not possible (mixing of 32/64-bit programs).

Are installing 32-bit Cubase or upgrading to 64-bit Reason my only options? Or is there any other reasons why they might not be working that could be fixed?

I’ve just tested it with the Reason 8 demo, and that didn’t work either… Should it? I might try downloading the latest Cubase demo, and see if each demo version can work together in rewire… Is there any reason why that shouldn’t/won’t work?
