I used to have Reason Rack plugin working in previous Cubase installs but now it doesn’t work in either Cubase 12 or 13 on my end. Is anyone successfully using Reason Plugin in Cubase 13 Pro?
Both blocklisted plugins are vst version 2.
I don’t have the VST2 version installed, but I see the VST3 version properly in my plugin manager. Also, I do see izoZone VST2 in the blocklist (can’t even remember why I installed a VST2 version), but I do have izoTope VST3 plugins working as expected. So, I think you just have to install the VST3 versions…
But of course that doesn’t affect 12 or 13 unless you are on a silicon mac?
I think?
Well, blocklist is not about VST2 support, as far as I understand, but I may be wrong. My previous post is based on my main setup which is on Windows
So when they said VST 2 will be discontinued they meant even all previous versions? So many VSTs we collected over the years are VST2, why would they just brick them? Or am I missing something? I’m not sure if Reason 11 Suite have VST 3 since it didn’t support vst3.
I also have unfinished songs that use the Reason Rack in Cubase. What am I supposed to do now. What confused me also is the fact Reason Rack plugin shows up in my VST3 folder.
What version of Reason do you have? I’m on 11 Suite. I hope I don’t have to buy 12 or 13 just to get the VST3 RRP.
Glad you reminded me of this. Reason 11 Intro.
And the version and path of the plugin:
I see that the path in my screenshot is different than yours.
Interesting. This gives me hope. I sent in a ticket to Reason. Maybe I have to update but they put Reason 11 on the “not supported” list.
Problem solved! Support got back to me and suggested to delete the RRP from the VST3 folder and reinstall Reason 11. After reinstalling, I got the Reason Rack working again in Cubase 13.
I have 11 suite.
