As mentioned in the title, my Cubase on PC (through which I play electric guitar) has an amp plugin (from neural DSP) followed by the ReaStream VST (i.e. it is the last thing in my signal/effects chain). Audio does transmit from Cubase to OBS, but it is the completely dry signal - nothing from the amp plugin is being carried over. I have tried switching the order of the amp and ReaStream plugins in the signal chain with no success.
I’ve attached a picture of my setup below. Someone on reddit told me that my setup wasn’t working because it doesn’t actually have a bus track yet, but I thought that my electric guitar bus (input - guitar and output - headphones through my audio interface) on the far left is my bus track?
How would I do that? I thought the plugin inserts in the guitar solo track (which use the electric guitar bus) are already sort of applied to stereo out.
Plugin position ought to work ok….I don’t have experience of OBS but I would guess the issue is the input selection there rather than the output from Cubase (via Reastream)….aren’t you somehow monitoring the interface input rather than Cubase output.
I think moving it to stereo output fixed it. The playback from OBS sounded a bit dry, but after playing with someone else with the audio routed to Zoom from OBS via virtual cable, they did say that it sounded like an amp’d guitar with reverb and everything. So, I think ReaStream to stereo output did the trick.
