I work in 5.1 surround. I have a Tannoy Reveal set up and my Tannoy Centre speaker weighs a ton.
I would like to experiment with putting the centre speaker right above my head, on the ceiling, on a hook or something. I am looking for something light weight and not too expensive at this stage, possibly a lap top type speaker which I can cannabilise. My system uses passive monitors. It’s got to have a non retro sound and I am not worrying about a fail on bass notes since I intend to float high hertz sounds above the head, some middle would be good, so not a tweeter thing.
Looking at pics reading hype, tells you nothing any good recommentdations please?
