Record Enable STUCK

Wow…I think you’re right. But that really sucks because I use the old Frontier Tranzport in HUI as my remote transport. Guess I’ll have to find another way.

Can there be a fix for this? How do I report bugs?

I had the same problem in Cubase Pro 11.0.10 and I found that disabling the MIDI Output (assigning to “Not Connected”) in the Mackie Control virtual peripheral fixed the problem.

This one has been driving me nuts.

Started happening after I plugged a faderport in and put it in HUI mode.

Fixes:

  1. Unplug Faderport or any other MCU/HUI device.

  2. Go to preferences and turn ON “SYNC SELECTION IN PROJECT WINDOW AND MIX CONSOLE”.

  3. If that doesn’t work disable and disconnect all midi devices, and when it comes back you’ll know which device is messing up cubase. It’s almost always a DAW control surface that does MCU or HUI protocols.

I think that some kind of midi filtering/routing usb midi hub may be a general fix for issues like this.

Exact same thing happened for me. Caused by M-Audio Oxygen Pro25. The fix is to disconnect MIDI Output to the Mackie Control in Studio Setup. If I set MIDI Output to MIDIOUT3 (Oxygen Pro 25) then Track 1 is permanently record armed. I’m guessing some sort of MIDI loop occurs when MIDIOUT3 is connected.

Thank you so much! How on earth did you figure this out? I could have stared at Cubase for years and not seen this fix. I thought the problem had something to do with the new keyboard (M-Audio of course, Hammer 88), but where to start to look, I had no idea. Again, thanks for solving this annoying problem.
