Wow…I think you’re right. But that really sucks because I use the old Frontier Tranzport in HUI as my remote transport. Guess I’ll have to find another way.
Can there be a fix for this? How do I report bugs?
I had the same problem in Cubase Pro 11.0.10 and I found that disabling the MIDI Output (assigning to “Not Connected”) in the Mackie Control virtual peripheral fixed the problem.
This one has been driving me nuts.
Started happening after I plugged a faderport in and put it in HUI mode.
Fixes:
-
Unplug Faderport or any other MCU/HUI device.
-
Go to preferences and turn ON “SYNC SELECTION IN PROJECT WINDOW AND MIX CONSOLE”.
-
If that doesn’t work disable and disconnect all midi devices, and when it comes back you’ll know which device is messing up cubase. It’s almost always a DAW control surface that does MCU or HUI protocols.
I think that some kind of midi filtering/routing usb midi hub may be a general fix for issues like this.
