Record MIDI CCs with QC faders?

I have a MIDI controller with 8 faders, I set them in Cubase 13 MIDI Remote API to QC1-8.

I do know, that in the Studio Setup it is possible to hardwire the Track and VST Quick controls, but these are legacy features, I wanted to use the MIDI Remote API exclusively here!

So, in the QC dropdown I noticed that all MIDI CCs on all 1-16 channels are assignable.

I assigned one “CC6 Ch1” to “QC1”, enabled R/W and tried to record the QC1 fader movement as a MIDI CC to a MIDI track. Plug-in instrument was closed, I selected the track and started recording this way.

Result: nothing, QC1 parameter from a previously saved QC preset is recorded (a bug?).

Is that possible finally to record with the QCs not just plugin automation data, but also MIDI CC data to a MIDI track?

If yes, how to accomplish this step-by-step?

Add additional page in your midi remote inside Cubase.
If possible assign 2 buttons for previous and next page.
In the new page, you can assign new functions for the same faders of your midi controller.
Use the pre/next page buttons to select different page and do whatever function you want to do with the faders.
Regards.

Yes, thanks for the idea, I thought about this solution, but originally I wanted to use the QC way, but yes, I can set the faders directly in the MIDI Remote API.
But the QC way of setting up CCs seems buggy then.
