Record Mode Won't Do "Punch In" only

Well it was working just fine for months. My favorite Record Mode is “Punch in” tabs. So I can just hit Record and get the 'time in count in", then when it hit’s the ‘punch in’, it start recording. Now all of the sudden, the two bottom options “start recording at locator” or “start recording at cursor” One of them always has to be selected! I cant just have “Start recording at punch in.” Please see the attached print screen.

You would normally hit play and not record, it will then play and start recording where the punch in marker is set.

Yes it will work that way, but before I could hit Record and get the count in from the metronome and the recording would start at the punch in. Not a huge issue but I didn’t want glitches creeping in
