Encountering a problem with recording audio, the signal is weak and isn’t consistent, keeps cutting off, I have managed to narrow the problem down to the software cubase, switched cables guitars, soundcards, everything works fine on standalone plugins, please help… -_-
Hi and welcome to the forum!
We need more infos:
- Audiointerface, OS, Cubase version
- What exactly are you doing (describing the input chain including screenshots)
What OS?
Scarlett 2i2 gen3
cubase 14
14.6.1 os
Hi @tamar.barcesat ,
please don’t forget
OS is the operating system (Windows 10, 11, Mac etc) and the Cubase version feres to (AI, Elements, Artist etc).
Describing what you are doing is equally important. I’d say that there’s nothing wrong with Cubase… ![]()
I was just putting all this down and then Reco29 appeared with the info. Thanks
Mac
cubase 14 pro
@Albert_MacDonald We still don’t know much, though…
@tamar.barcesat please provide the info that is needed (see above)
Have you installed the latest driver for your audiointerface? Did you set it up accordingly so that you see the correct ASIO driver?
Have a look at this, please
yes its the lasted driver and the correct asio driver
I believe the problem is on cubase because the audio interface works on a standalone plugin and also in garage band
Again, we can’t close in on the issue if you don’t tell us what you are doing, sorry.
? Guitar > DI / Amp / Mic ? / which audioface input / Screenshot Input channel in Cubase / screenshot of your audiochannel / plugins involved etc ?
do you have whatsup maybe? so I can all you and show you everything
im recording guitar direct to the audio interface
no plugins involved
empty project with one Audio channel
Make sure the Mac mic input mode is set to standard not voice isolation
